The eye is rounded up, the muscles that move the eye, the veins and nerves, and the fat tissue that acts as a pillow.
The importance of eye examination

Our eyes are the first and most important organ of our sense organ that has opened the gates of the world, mobilizing our ability to learn and perceive.

Our eyes regular eye examination is one of the most important steps for a healthy life.

Anyone who uses glasses or does not use an eye examination once a year is required even if they do not have complaints.

It should not be forgotten that with an ordinary eye examination; From hypertension to kidney diseases, blood cancer to brain tumors, many diseases can be easily diagnosed.

In our hospital, all medical and surgical treatments of eye disorders and diseases are applied to all patients of all ages from infants to the elderly.

Computerized Eye Examination

With the autorefractometer device for measuring the eye number, the presence of myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism in the patient's eye is measured and the most appropriate spectacle numbers are determined. In some cases, especially in pediatric examinations, a drop is added to the eyes to temporarily suppress the ability of the eyes to fit, and the autorefractometer measurement is performed after waiting for a while. This process is known as muayene drip inspection ”among the population.

Visual Acuity Test

Our ability to see the fine details is measured by reading the letters, numbers, or shapes from large to small at a certain distance. Uncorrected visual acuity is the best visual acuity of an eye without being naked, ie, glasses, lenses or contact lenses.
Corrected visual acuity is the best visual acuity that can be achieved by placing a lens or eyeglass in front of an eye. In the ophthalmic examination, the ophthalmologist places various glasses in front of the eye and detects the glass numbers that provide the patient the best, most comfortable vision. The doctor uses the measurements of the autorefractometer during this examination.

Determination of eye number

Myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism in our eyes due to refractive error caused by the sight of the glasses gives rise to the need for glasses. As a result of the examination, it is determined that the ideal option for the person as well as treatment is glasses, contact lenses, surgery or laser.

Biomicroscopic Inspection

It is not possible to perform an eye examination without a biomicroscope because it cannot be examined with the naked eye without enlarging the eye tissues. Microscopic examination of the eyelids, eyelashes, conjunctiva, cornea, sclera, iris, pupil, lens and vitreous are examined in detail with the help of special devices.

Intraocular Pressure (Eye Blood Pressure) Measurement

The best way to diagnose eye pressure is regular eye checks. In order to diagnose eye pressure, eye pressure measurement device is used.
Examination of the eyelids

The physician examines the shape, position, color of the eyelids, the interval between the lower and upper eyelids, closure functions of the eyelids, and any swelling, mass or tenderness on the eyelids by keeping an object in the hand without moving the head of the patient. In this way, the functions of the muscles responsible for the movement of the eyes in the right, left, upward, downward and intermediate directions are evaluated and it is determined whether there are any obstacles (mass, inflammation, edema, etc.) that restrict eye movements.

Eye Muscles Examination

The inner muscles of the eye control the movement of the pupil. The outer muscles of the eye allow the eyes to remain parallel. The state of the eye muscles is determined in strabismus and double vision examinations.

Eye Drop Examination

This examination examines vitreous gel, retina and optic nerve at the back of the eye. The transparency, consistency of the vitreous gel, retinal vessels, appearance of nerve fibers, the color of the optic nerve, borders, cupping, and many other features such as diabetes, hypertension and hereditary diseases etc. are evaluated in detail. is detected. Special lenses and inspection techniques are used for this examination. The pupil is enlarged with various drops to allow better visualization of the posterior aspect of the eye before the examination.
